Darío Mariño, clarinet
(Santiago de Compostela, Spain, 1985)
Dario studied the clarinet in the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler (Berlin) with Wenzel Fuchs, Karl-Heinz Steffens and Ralf Foster and in the Escola de Altos Estudos Musicais of Galicia, Academia Progreso Musical in Madrid, Gustav Mahler Akademie Festival Internacional de Santander, Zermatt Festival (Switzerland) and Pacific Music Festival (Japan).
Since 2013 he has been solo clarinet of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin conducted by Iván Fischer. He was previously academist of the Berlin Philharmonic with which he also collaborates as solo clarinet. He regularly occupies the same position with the Radio Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Radio Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart des SWR, Komische Oper Berlin and Münchener Kammerorchester among others.
He was a member of the JONDE (Joven Orquesta Nacional de España), principal clarinet in the Pacific Music Festival and in the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester.
In 2008 he won the Primer Palau Competition in Barcelona and recorded the concertos of Mozart, Copland, Weber and Shaw.
