JONATHAN MÜLLER, trumpet

Jonathan studied in Fellbach, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe with Markus Klein, Wolfgang Bauer and Reinhold Friedrich. Furthermore he attended masterclasses with Håkan Hardenberger, Kristian Steenstrup, Klaus Schuhwerk, Jouko Harjanne, Hannes Läubin, Luis González and Uwe Köller.
He won several first prizes at the national youth competition Jugend musiziert in Germany. In 2006 he also won first prize and a special prize at the nationwide Carl Schröder Competition (Thuringia).
He was member of youth orchestras as the Landesjugendorchester Baden-Württemberg, the National Youth Orchestra of Germany and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra.
He was a member of the Orchestra Mozart, conducted by Claudio Abbado since 2011. In addition, he regularly helps out in orchestras such as the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe or the Orquesta Nacional de España (Madrid). Since 2013 Jonathan Müller is Principal Trumpet of the Gewandhaus Orchestra in Leipzig.
Moreover, he performs as a soloist with orchestras such as the Arcata Chamber Orchestra Stuttgart, the Tübingen Sinfonietta, the Nürnberger Symhoniker, the Munich Chamber Orchestra and the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra.
