SABELA CARIDAD, percussion
(O Grove Pontevedra, Spain, 1988)
Trained in the Conservatorio Profesional de A Coruña and in the ESMUC (Barcelona) where she is presently attending a postgraduate course.
She studied with Alejandro Sanz and José Trigueros from the OSG (Orquesta Sinfonica de Galicia) and with Lorenzo Ferrándiz, Gratiano Murcia, Miquel Bernat and George Elie-Octors from the ESMUC. She was also a pupil of Gustavo Gimeno and Nick Woud from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (Amsterdam).
She was an active member of the Orquesta Joven de Galicia in the years 2006-2009 and of the Verbier Festival Orchestra in Switzerland in 2010 and 2011.
She has been collaborating for years with the OSG in A Coruña, OBC in Barcelona, Orquesta del Vallés in Sabadell and ORCAM in Madrid.
She performed under the direction of famous conductors: Valery Gergiev, Gianandrea Noseda, Manfred Honeck, Lorin Maazel or Charles Dutoit and with such soloists as Joshua Bell, Lang Lang, Léonidas Kavakos or Evgeny Kissin.
